This policy explains what personal data QLOCar collects, why, and the rights you have over it under India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to help you buy, maintain or sell a car.
- Contact details you provide at a CTA (name, mobile, city).
- Your request details (budget, preferences, vehicle information).
- Anonymous browsing events tied to a session id, to improve recommendations.
2. How we use your data
We use your details strictly to fulfil the request you made — sourcing cars, arranging service, or preparing a sale — and to contact you about it.
We never create a sales lead from passive browsing. A lead is created only when you submit a CTA with explicit consent.
3. Consent & your rights (DPDP)
We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give at each CTA. Service consent and marketing consent are separate, and neither is pre-ticked.
You may access, correct, or withdraw your data at any time by contacting our Grievance Officer (below). Withdrawing consent stops further processing for that purpose.
4. Sharing
We share your details only with the vetted partner needed to fulfil your request (e.g. a workshop, insurer or lender) and never sell your data to third parties.
5. Retention & security
We retain your data only as long as needed for your request and legal obligations, and protect it with industry-standard safeguards.
